The Medical Laboratories, located in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art building on the University of Prince Edward Island campus, are equipped to support higher education for Biomedical learners, including the medical learners from Memorial University, and interdisciplinary programs at UPEI.

Areas of instruction include:

• Anatomy
• Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiology
• Histology
• Neuroanatomy
• Immunology

The space features dedicated teaching labs, preparation areas, an embalming suite, and digital learning resources.

The Memorial University undergraduate medical laboratory curriculum is supported through in-person hands-on instruction by UPEI faculty, along with local and visiting medical professionals, during the first two years of medical study.
