The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Centre at the University of Prince Edward Island was designed as an interdisciplinary learning space, bringing health programs together under one roof. That includes learners from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Atlantic Veterinary College - AVC , who recently used our third-floor clinical skills space to practice conversations with pet owners.

These exercises focus on building confidence, empathy, and clarity in client conversations, a critical skill in veterinary practice, and do not involve live animals. Sharing spaces like this supports hands-on, real-world learning while keeping each program’s clinical work in the right setting.
